Breathable tree wrap to prevent sun scald on young trees. Wrap around the trunk with one layer from just above ground level to the lowest branches. Secure by tucking under a layer or simply staple to the trunk. Apply in late spring and remove in fall when the temperatures moderate.
Beneficial for trees that have smooth bark when young, which are more susceptible to scald. Especially maples and oaks.
Extremely fast growing, hardy passion flower producing egg shaped orange fruits with deep red, edible pulp, although not as tasty as the purple passion fruit. Flowers are ornate, multi-colored, with a minty scent much like the fruit of the pineapple guava.
This stunning vine clings by graceful tendrils that wind around a trellis or arbor, quickly creating a deep green screen with ornate, lightly scented flowers. Ruffled outer petals and sepals surround an intricately arranged center ring of blue, white and purple. One of the hardiest of varieties; evergreen in frost-free areas.
