This is a male cultivar of native Eastern Red Cedar. Its summer foliage is bluish-green turning to a brownish tint in winter. This cultivar is fruitless and does not attract birds as the species does.
A new and distinct variety of eastern red cedar tree. It forms fibrous, highly branching, high density roots. Alternating random branch pattern is displayed. Attractive needles are formed which display an alternate arrangement. Juniper-like fragrance is exhibited. Resistance to fungus and spider mites is good. The new variety is well suited for providing attractive ornamentation in the landscape.
