"Kids in the Garden Series" - Workshops for Ages 5 - 10
Kids classes are $5 each for supplies and registration and pre-payment are required. Space is limited so sign up today in our store or by phone at 972-475-5888 Ext. 2. For refunds, cancellations must be received by 4 p.m. Thursday prior to the class so we can fill the space with another child. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.
Bees in the Garden
Saturday June 11th 9:30-10:30 am
Kids will visit with Texas Honey Princess, Willow Lanchester to learn why bees are so important,see bees in their observation hive, and taste honey.
Miniature Gardens Part I Saturday, July 9th 9:30-10:30 am
Paint a garden stone and a fairytale cottage that will be the centerpiece for the miniature garden you plant in Part II. We'll hold painted stones and cottages until the July 16th class.
Miniature Gardens Part II Saturday, July 16th 9:30-10:30 am
Create your own miniature garden in a pot using your painted cottage, garden stone and little plants which will be provided.
Growing Your Own Food Saturday, July 23 9:30-10:30 am
Discover where fruits and vegetables come from (before they get to your grocery store). Then plant veggie seed and a tomato plant to take home and grow.
Flowers & Succulents Saturday, August 6th 9:30-10:30 am
Learn about how flowers and succulents grow, then plant a shade flower & create a sun-loving mini succulent terrarium out of recycled tomato packaging.

Concrete Leaf Casting Workshop
Saturday, June 18th 1:00-3:00 pm
Joanne Durbin, local concrete leaf artist, will teach you to create a beautiful piece of art using leaves that are fresh from the garden. Examples will be on display. Joanne will show how to paint your leaf so you can finish your piece at home once it dries using your own paints. Cost $30 per team.
