Chojuro Asian Pear

Variety of Asian pear (Pyrus pyrifolia) known for its round, russeted skin and crisp, sweet flavor. It has a distinctive bronze or golden-brown skin and a firm, crunchy texture that is less juicy than Western pears. Chojuro pears are highly prized for their rich, honey-like taste and are often enjoyed fresh or used in cooking. Partially self-fertile, but will produce better with another pear to pollinate, such as Bartlett Pear or Hosui Asian Pear.
