We love Japanese Yew. This large, evergreen, and upright-growing shrub is incredible! It has long and narrow, fine-textured, dark green leaves that provide color throughout the year, and also produces unique bluish-purple berries. Yews are low maintenance and grow large, 8-12′ tall x 5-6′ wide. So they are perfect for a single specimen plant, but also do great as a clipped hedge, a sheared topiary, or in mass as a natural privacy screen. Plant in the shade to part shade, to keep it happy and healthy.
