We take great pleasure in acknowledging Ernie Coles for his remarkable 35th Anniversary with our company. Ernie serves as our Landscape Coordinator. Since joining Covington’s in July of 1988, he has played an indispensable role in ensuring the effectiveness and coordination of our landscape department. Congratulations, Ernie, on this significant milestone!
Here are a few questions we thought would be fun to ask Ernie:
Q: What is one of your funniest work memories?
A: Back when I worked in retail, a customer once called asking for Pampas Grass. I remember telling her that we had it in stock and that it came in both 1-gallon and 3-gallon sizes. But then she surprised me by saying she didn’t realize it came in a liquid form.
Q: What has changed the most since working here?
A: Progression, I remember when we got our first fax machine!
Q: What are you most proud of at work?
A: I have a team that I am incredibly proud of. They are a diligent and dedicated group who always put in their best effort. I cannot express enough gratitude for their hard work and commitment.
Q: What advice would you give a new employee?
A: Be a sponge; learn as much as possible to benefit you here and beyond.
Thank you for everything you do Ernie!
