Plant of the Week – Green Mountain Boxwood Cone

There are so many things people love about Green Mountain Boxwood cones! They are very cold hardy and evergreen with dense dark green foliage that you’ll enjoy twelve months a year.

Green Mountains grow to about 4-5 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide, but can be pruned to retain a smaller size.  Their naturally pyramid shape makes them ideal to use as a smaller accent shrub or free-form or sculpted hedge, and they are a real favorite as a topiary in a container planting, especially to border your home’s front entry. Plant them in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil for best success.
