Plant of The Week: Crossandra Plant

Lilly is enamored with the vivid orange blooms of the Crossandra plant!
It is a versatile plant grown as an annual or flowering houseplant, and it’s prized for its constant display of orange or apricot flowers and attractive shiny foliage. This plant will be happiest in the morning sun, but it will struggle in our afternoon heat. Make sure to plant in well-draining soil; they do not like staying soggy.

Indoors, Cassandra is a lovely flowering houseplant for bright spots.  Accent it with the perfect container– try purple or white pots for a stunning contrast against the flowers. Be sure the container you choose has a drainage hole so you will have the best success!
