Jason’s Plant of the Week – Chinese Pistache

This tree is a fast-growing shade tree with emerald green leaves during spring and summer and a stunning display of yellow, gold, orange, and red leaves during fall. Native to China and Taiwan, the Pistache tree is a member of the cashew family and is solely ornamental. This beauty is heat and drought-tolerant and can grow in various soil types, including our alkaline clay. The Pistache tree grows 25-30 feet tall and wide and drops its leaves during winter after displaying brilliant Fall colors!
