Jasmine’s Plant Pick of the Week – Summer Snowflake

It was love at first sight when Jasmine spotted these delicate looking white lacecap flowers on the Summer Snowflake Viburnum!

Summer Snowflake is a versatile, upright deciduous shrub that blooms in the spring/early summer, and bears ornamental red berries and colorful foliage in the fall.  It reaches 6 to 8 ft. tall, 8 to 10 ft. wide, and grows in a naturally rounded form with tiered horizontal branches that magnificently display the showy pure white flower clusters.

This is a great shrub to use as a specimen or a hedge planting in shady to partially shady areas of your landscape, and it attracts birds and butterflies and is said to be deer resistant.
