Cody’s Plant Pick of the Week – Dracaena Colorama

Dracaenas are some of the most popular houseplants around, and Cody chose the Colorama for Plant of the Week because of the bright bands of red and pink that outline the leaves. The rich emerald and cherry tones of this tropical stand out in any room, and this one in particular is already over 5 feet tall, giving you instant gratification!

Dracaena Colorama is happiest in bright, indirect light, and does not want or need a ton of water. Regular misting will help replicate the humid regions of its native Madagascar. Its ideal temperature zone is between 60 and 80 degrees, so keeping it indoors is best except for a few months in spring and fall. You can easily prune to your desired height, and even root the trimmings (great gift idea)!
