Q: “When is a good time to repot my houseplants”

A: The best time to repot most houseplants is during their active growing season, typically from spring through summer and even into early fall. During this time, days are longer and plants receive more light, helping them adjust to their new container and encouraging fresh root and foliage growth. In winter, plants enter a more dormant period, with shorter days and slower growth as they focus on conserving energy rather than producing new growth. While you can repot during the winter months if necessary, it isn’t usually the most ideal time. Whenever possible, wait until the growing season returns to give your plant the best chance to thrive in its new home.
