This week, we’re discussing how to deal with rascally rabbits!
Q: Before I plant my pansies, how can I keep the flowers in my beds from becoming rabbit food? Last year the rabbits thought it was an all-you-can-eat buffet!
A: Rabbits can be a year-round nuisance, but pansies are one of their absolute favorites. Luckily, there’s an easy solution!
We recommend using Rabbit Scram to safely and effectively keep them away. Simply apply an 18–24 inch band in front of your flowerbeds, or give the entire bed a light dusting. Rabbit Scram is made from natural ingredients like meat meal, blood meal, pepper meal, and garlic. The meat and blood meal trick rabbits (and other critters) into thinking a predator is nearby, while the pepper and garlic keep neighborhood pets from being curious about the scent.
Reapply monthly around your flowers, or sooner after a heavy rainstorm. Light to moderate rainfall or regular watering won’t reduce its effectiveness.
