A low, spreading evergreen with cascading branches of dark green, needle-like foliage, offering the texture of a yew without the deer damage. Slow-growing and low-maintenance, it excels as a foundation plant, low hedge, or groundcover in the shaded, root-filled beds beneath mature trees where little else thrives, an especially useful trait for North Texas landscapes with established Oak trees. Once established, it also handles our heat and drought with ease.
