Plant of the Week: Bubba Desert Willow

We love the Bubba Desert Willow, a stunning Texas native tree, for its beauty and drought tolerance. This fast-growing, deciduous tree reaches 15–20 feet tall and wide, with a graceful, open canopy of narrow, willow-like leaves. Its larger, darker green foliage sets it apart from other desert willows.

From late spring through summer, Bubba Desert Willow produces large, fragrant, trumpet-shaped blossoms in vibrant two-toned burgundy and lavender. As a native tree, it’s perfectly adapted to our Texas climate, thriving in full sun, tolerating heat, and requiring very little water once established. It’s also adaptable to most well-drained soils, making it a low-maintenance, eco-friendly addition to any landscape.

Plant a Bubba Desert Willow to add color, fragrance, and a native touch that supports local pollinators and wildlife!
