Robert’s Plant of the Week – Limelight Hydrangea

The Limelight Hydrangea is a show stopper with its large,  bright, chartreuse green blooms that make such  a bold statement!

This hydrangea blooms all Summer and into the Fall, which is when the flowers become dusted with shades of pink. This long-blooming deciduous shrub reaches about 5-6 feet tall and wide, and works well as a showy flowering hedge, natural screen, or specimen plant.
Be sure to plant in well-draining soil with morning sun and afternoon shade. It’s easy to care for and very cold hardy.

As a bonus, the large conical flowers can be used fresh or dried, and are favorites in cut flower arrangements and wreaths.
