Mingo’s Plant Pick of the Week – Loquat

Mingo is all business when it comes to Loquat Trees, his Plant Pick of the Week. These exotic stunners will mature at 15’ to 20’ tall with a dense, round canopy full of glossy green leaves. Also known as Japanese Plums, they produce a deliciously sweet and tart fruit in late spring, and are self-fertile, so you only need one (but Mingo says it never hurts to have a friend). Loquats produce beautiful white flowers in late fall/early winter, and are evergreen, so not only are they a manageable size, they bloom AND produce fruit, and add tropical beauty to your landscape year-round. They’re the whole package! See the gorgeous specimens we just received in person, or check our online inventory here for prices, sizes, and quantities.
