Plant of the Week – Kaleidoscope Abelia

We never hesitate to recommend this beautiful shrub to customers!
Suppose you are looking for a low-growing (2-3’ tall x 3-4’ wide) evergreen shrub. In that case, the Kaleidoscope is one of our most popular shrubs for various reasons, but primarily due to its compact form and colorful foliage in ever-changing green, yellow, orange, and red hues.
Kaleidoscope Abelias also have little white flowers from summer to fall, attracting butterflies! Also, they are disease and pest resistant and can tolerate heat and drought once established. They can be used in the sun or part-shade conditions as a low hedge or border, accent plant, or in containers for dramatic year-round color.
