Michaela’s Plant of the Week – Dwarf Hameln Grass

Michaela loves the fuzzy plumes of this Dwarf Hameln Grass. This plush little fountain grass will get 2 to 3 feet tall, and 1 to 2 feet wide, making a great addition to smaller flower gardens, dry river beds, or on its own in a large container. Plant several in a row for a beautiful grass hedge. Dwarf Hameln blooms late summer through fall, and the emerald green blades turn a warm golden color once the weather cools down (that gold makes a great contrast to colorful annuals and perennials). Cut it back before spring, when there’s no more threat of frost, and it’ll come back like a champ, lusher and greener than ever!
