Plant of the Week – Pink Muhly Grass

Posted on September, 19

This is the season when Pink Muhly Grass looks it’s prettiest with almost iridescent pink plumes that shimmer in the sun and wind. The delicate flowers provide an airy effect to landscapes from late summer in to fall.

Pink Muhly is a very drought tolerant ornamental grass that looks especially attractive planted in mass where flowers can be backlit by the sun. It is fast growing and perennial, and grows to about 3 feet tall and wide with very narrow foliage. You’ll want to plant it in sunny and drained areas, but don’t worry over much about the soil preparation because Pink Muhly is highly adaptable and will thrive in average to poor soils.

We’ve got lots of Pink Muhly in stock now in 1 and 3 gallon sizes….come in get yours now to enjoy the fall show!
