For more than thirty years, Covington's has been creating landscapes in north Texas—everything from planting a single tree to designing and installing all aspects of extraordinary outdoor environments. We are a fully licensed and insured company, offering residential and commercial landscaping design and installation services supplemented by one of the Dallas area's largest retail nurseries. With over 17 acres of fine quality plant material to choose from, it's no wonder we are one of DFW’s best-kept secrets.

A landscape company can offer the best plants and the best designers, but if they use inexperienced crews, what good does it do? Fortunately, we are blessed to have three of the finest crews in Texas to handle your landscape installation. Our Landscape Designers

 Steve Malone - Steve has been with Covington's Nursery since 1997, and received his degree in Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University in 1981. He is more than just a designer, Steve has a unique ability to "capture the vision" of the entire residential property.  Whether the home is in the design phase or the desire is to renovate a tired landscape, Steve’s goal is to "maximize the potential" for each property.

His designs incorporate intricate details with site amenities such as:  pools-spas, natural water features, arbors, retaining walls, decorative fences, any type of hardscape, sprinkler systems and exterior lighting systems.  From the selection of sub-contractors at inception to the completion of project, Steve will see to it that the project will be finished according to its vision.

Nate Principe - Nate is a life-long artist with an advanced art course background. He started working for Covington Nursery in 2001 as a junior in high school. In 2004 he transferred to the Landscape Division where he has immediately excelled as a landscape designer. With a combined eye for art and knowledge of plants, Nate gives his customers the satisfaction of enjoying both an interesting and functional landscape.

In September 2006, Nate won Best of Show for his design and display at The Dallas Home and Garden Show and Best of Show for the Dallas Home Show, in January 2006.
   

June Palmer - June has long been considered as our most outgoing designer.  Her warm and bubbly personality makes her very easy to get along with. She has been with Covington Nursery & Landscape, Inc. since 2000 and has compiled over 13 years experience in designing and installing professional landscapes.

Attentive to details and personally insuring that her clients are completely satisfied with their landscapes, June has developed a large clientele who repeatedly ask for her for all of their landscape needs.

Doug Lueders - Doug began his landscape career in 1980 as an installation apprentice for a landscape company in Garland. His awards include: Earl May President’s Club – Designer of the Year and two Best Landscape Design Awards for Parade of Homes. His most prized award came with designing and installing the landscape for the Lee Greenwood Theater in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Corey Gregory - Corey received his degree from Cal-Poly and has been designing and installing landscapes for over 20 years.

He spent many years in California,and uses that influence in his designs. Whether designing for a pool area, a backyard landscape, or a front yard, he has a real flair for making your property unique.

Lee Glover - Lee received his degree in Horticulture from Stephen F. Austin State University and did his internship at the Dallas Arboretum.

Lee has been in the nursery, maintenance, and landscape industry for close to 22 years. He is very experienced in the placement of annual and perennial flowers and has many satisfied clients call on him to change their seasonal color.

   

Ernie Coles - Ernie has been in the landscape industry for close to 25 years, and with Covington's Nursery & Landscape for over 16 years.

As our Landscape Coordinator, Ernie is responsible for scheduling the designers, landscape jobs, and tree plantings.
