Leatherleaf Mahonia
Mahonia bealei
Evergreen shrub with clusters of holly-like leaves clustered at the top. In late winter or early spring, spikes of fragrant primrose-yellow flowers appear, followed by clusters of showy, blue fruit. An under-utilized, colorful, easy to grow shrub.
