Veggie Gardens Are In

Posted on March, 19

More and more people are starting their own vegetable gardens these days, and the record breaking attendance at our Vegetable Gardening classes last month really showed how interested folks are in growing their own food.  Home grown veggies taste better, are more nutritious, plus the overall experience of growing your own healthy food gives you a real sense of accomplishment.

You’ll be surprised at how easy and rewarding it is.  Talk to any backyard gardener and you’ll find they are really excited about growing food for themselves and to share with others.  Make it a family affair and let everyone pick their favorites to plant in your garden…don’t be surprised when the kids ask for seconds!

We have a great selection of edibles in stock including strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, many varieties of tomatoes, hot and sweet peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, squash, beans, lettuce, okra, and more.  Also blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, grapes, citrus and other fruit and nut trees. Go to the Edible Gardening section our Gardening Guide for helpful gardening tips and planting dates.  It’s time to get growing!
