Tracey’s Plant Of The Week – Goldspire Dwarf Ginkgo

Tracey will tell you that ginkgo trees go back to the dinosaur ages, and it is said that there have even been ginkgo leaf fossils found dating over 200 million years ago. How incredible is that!

Ginkgos are excellent trees with distinctive fan-shaped leaves, and spectacular fall colors. Goldspire is a beautiful dwarf variety of Ginkgo (about 15 feet tall and 5 wide), that will have a dense, narrow, pyramidal form, and its rich green summer foliage will turn a golden yellow in the fall.  It’s a non-fruiting type, excellent for smaller landscape areas, or anywhere a vertical focal point is needed.

This spectacular tree will add lots of appeal to your landscape!
